- The Long Run: A New York City Firefighter's Triumphant Comeback from Crash Victim to Elite Athlete by Matt Long and Charles Butler
- Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen by Christopher McDougall
- Chi Running by Katherine Dreyer
I choose Unbroken as my first download. Two clicks of a button and 90 seconds later and the book was at my fingertips. I've just started but I can already tell it's great. I actually looked forward to waiting in line outside the DMV for an hour this morning so I could read :) Lucky me I didn't have all the documentation so two hours later I was back again!
After I finished ogling my new e-reader it was Sam's turn. I got him a copy of Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance and a 24oz Polar Insulated Water Bottle. Finally, I gave him this bike jersey from "Share the Damn Road" and this magnetic bumper sticker:

If you would like to get your favorite cyclist (or yourself) a gift, Share the Damn Road is providing 25% of all orders with the code HAPPYHOLIDAYS. They have many more jerseys to choose from. If you are feeling a bit more 'assertive' you could go with something a little more straightforward:
What's on your list this holiday?
The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating - in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. Santa Delivered!
Last night Sam and I exchanged our Christmas gifts. He gave me a Latest Generation Kindle! I love reading and I'm always carrying a book or two around with me. Typically I only buy used paperback books so it takes a long time for me to get around to some of the more popular books. Now that I have a Kindle I can get most new releases for under $10! Of course, some of the top books on my wish list are sports related. If you are looking for a last minute gift for an endurance athlete/reader you could consider:

Great post.. I love the Jerseys, and I can't wait for christmas because I know "The Long Run" is under the tree waiting for me to read...
Why did you exchange gifts early?
KO
I love those shirts! I have seen them before, they are great!
I have been waiting forever for that Zinn book from the library. Like you I don't buy books. I guess that is why I am hesitant about the Kindle. Hubby wanted to buy it for me a few times, but I said no. Second thoughts? Maybe.
If you like WWII books, With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa by EB Sledge was amazing.
I just finished Unbroken yesterday. It's an amazing book.
Love those jerseys!
I just got a Kindle for Christmas too! My boss got me one for Christmas. I have already read two books on it and am halfway though the 3rd. I don't think I could go back to a regular book anymore.
I love the jerseys too! (I, too, am curious about the early exchange)
I liked those pics of jerseys and loved it so much. All of them looks great.I am surely going to purchase them.
