Randomness

I've thought of at least 20 posts in the past month but I just haven't had a chance to sit down and write!

I am happy to report that training is going very well. With the exception of a crazy 2 weeks of travel I have managed 2 swims, 2-3 bikes and 3-4 runs per week. I've also resolved to start incorporating more weight training again and try to get back to a weekly yoga class.

I am counting the days (12!) until I get to pick up my new bike! I am so excited I am at a loss for words! I promise I will be back immediately to tell you all about my fit and post some bike p*rn.

I had a great dinner with Regina (of the one and only Chiu On This) a few weeks ago. It was so nice to catch up over a delicious dinner and wine.

I'm training hard for the upcoming More Women's Half Marathon on April 3rd. I'm starting to think the time off from running was actually a good thing because since I've gotten back in the groove I'm faster than ever. I did a 10 mile run with an 8:41 average on Saturday. A few weeks ago I set a lofty goal of breaking 2 hours (my one and only half marathon in 2009 was 2:21:XX). I am now thinking I could even shoot for a sub-1:55?!

The NY weather this winter has been approaching unbearable for me. I had a trip to Austin, TX earlier this month and it was freezing there too and it SNOWED, in Austin, Texas. WTF? At the end of last week we finally had two warm days (into the 50's), and even though it was snowing again this morning I know that spring will come, eventually.

I've read a ton of great books lately, including the Hunger Games trilogy. If you have not read them yet I highly recommend them!

It feels good to be back :)

Glad to hear that training is going well!

1:55 or bust! You can do it!

I'll have to check out the Hunger Games trilogy. You turned me on to the Millennium Trilogy and I wiped through those in no time and just finished watching the final movie (the Swedish version) on Netflix this afternoon.

Just started reading your blog - but totally loving it! Especially your recaps of the triathlons you dud around NY, NJ etc. Super excited for my first few tris this year! I'm reading the Hunger Games later on this week, and I've only heard good things.

Can't wait to see your new bike, I got a new tri bike for Christmas(Specialized Transition Elite). I am really loving it. Can't wait to get outside and see what she can do. Congrats on the run. I am racing 1/2 marathon in March - Goal time to break 2:15. Good Luck with the 1:55 Rock on. Great to see you blogging again.

Ok, that is a fast 10 miler by my standards, so jealous!

Just finished book two and picking up the third at the library today! So good!
